Posting pictures can be done several ways.
This is one.
I use a picture host.
photobucket.com/
This way no matter what happens ...I....maintain control over my pictures.
I have the ability to turn them off anytime I like or leave them as long as I like.
That said ...IF... Photobucket ever folds...well I have no control over that.
Click above blue link and join Photobucket.
They wanted me to "GO PRO"=Pay $$....
Get the FREE one by just going to your "MY HOME"
Once you have gone to "my home" you are in your "Default Album"
You can then upload directly to that album or create a new album if you choose.
This is helpful to do as you can keep things in order but not a necessary step.
Each album will hold 500 pictures.
Click on "Upload images and videos"
This will open your computer to select pics for uploading.
After they have uploaded you can add tags or titles if you wish then...click "save"
This will return you to your album.
Now selecting the link to post...
This is your album....and thumbnails of your uploaded pics.
You need to "select" a pic to post.
Or select several at once.
The middle pic with black arrow (my mouse)
Hover mouse over individual pic and the links will appear below the thumbnail.
COPY the "IMG" code..last one down.
To select several at a time....
Hover mouse over thumbnail and check the small box bottom left of the thumbnail in each pic you wish to post.
To select ALL pics to post...see red circle...click "select "
Once "selected" go to red arrow "Generate HTML" and click on that.
This page will then open...
For posting large pics you copy the block of RED arrow
For clickable thumbnails and posting pics our dialup users can view also...you would copy the green arrow block "clickable thumbnails"
We do have dialup users...
You can copy the link from an individual picture.
Click your thumbnail and the pic will enlarge.
Lefthand side is the links inside red circle shown here...
Copy the IMG code.
Size of pics and uploading....
Before I had to set the size of my pics,I can't seem to find that in Photobucket now
I resize ALL my pics for uploading before I do in www.faststone.org/.... Version 4.2
It is a rather small program and I find it quite useful for adjusting/altering pics also...not that I do that that often... ;D
YEAH RIGHT!!!
I also add my signature through there as well.
The screencaptures here are done thru there and they are sized at ...600 X 800
I have found this to be a great size for posting.
I can add help for using Faststone if anyone wishes?
